E-glass 6oz Plain Weave Surfboard Fiberglass Cloth For Yacht Boat Repair
The 6 ounce Plain Weave Fiberglass Fabric is popular for molded parts and boat/yacht repairs. Same as other plain weaves, it delivers well-distributed strength in both horizontal and vertical directions. Fiberglass fabric is a durable and tear resistant materials for engineering application. In e-glass, the fiberglass fabric is physical/chemical stable. These light weight fiberglass fabric is always used for surfboard/boat building and repair.
The most common weight of surfboard fiberglass cloth around the world is e-glass cloth in both 4oz and 6oz. S-glass fabric has higher strength but it is more expensive. E-glass fabric with stable dimension and physical/chemical performs well in surfboard manufacture and more widely used.
Weave type will be plain or twill woven. The common widths are 4oz in 70cm/27.6" and 6oz in 80cm/31.5", which can meet most customers' requirement.
Except for surfboard building, this 6oz fiberglass cloth can be used in many other fields, such as coated fiberglass fabric for thermal insulation, septic tank production, pipeline production. But now a series of 4oz 6oz 8oz, 7628 and other light weight fabric, which can be used for sports goods such as the snowboard, surfboard and skimboard.
