3732 0.5mm Aluminium Foil/Silicone Coated Fibreglass Fabric For Heat Protection
JT8430AF consists of a woven fiberglass fabric 3732(430g/m2) that has been laminated with a layer of aluminium foil by a high temperature adhersive. Then coated grey silicone on another side. So the total mass per unit area is 520g/m2. Thickness can be 0.5mm.
This base fabric 3732 performs well under a temperature ranging from -100° F to 1022° F. And the aliminium foil should be used below 1220°F/660℃. However, it does need time for aluminium foil to bear enough heat to melt, so in fact it can withstand higher temperature for a short time. The adhersive will melt above 300℃. For another side silicone coating, it is very close. Coating can be used below 260℃.
The foiled fiberglass cloth offers superior performance in a wide range of temperatures because of its high quality raw materials and advanced production techniques. It keeps wonderful flexibility without delamination phenomenon at temperatures between -40℃ and 550℃. Tested according to ASTM E96 standard, this reflective material offers water vapor transmission rate up to 5.75 ng/N.s, ensuring its high water vapor resistance.
