Fiberglass surfboard Fabrics, are manufactured primarily for use in wet lay-up applications. As the name implies, these fiberglass fabrics were originally designed for use in marine and the tooling or mold making industries.
Fiberglass surfboard Fabrics are constructed with an open weave and are ideal where quick wet out, air release and conformity are primary considerations. Used to provide reinforcement for protective coating over various surfaces, to fabricate laminates or as a processing aid over chopped strand mat to enhance workability, cosmetics and increase physical properties. Boat & Tooling Fabrics are available in a variety of weaves, weights, widths and finishes to suit a wide range of applications.
Medium weight and strength cloth. Used commonly in boat building/repair applications. Good formability and easy wet out.
